Borgo del Sole is in the heart of Serchio valley, Garfagnana, in the north west of Tuscany.

Garfagnana is a green quiet valley, rich in woods, lakes, culyivated slopes and small old villages, but non far from the famous towns of Lucca, Pisa and Florence.

Our country house is situated in the commune of San Romano Garfagnana.

The Country house in composed by three buildings:
The old farmer's house built in stones which opens in a large "aia" (the barn yard) used in old times to dry the agricultural products like corn, or where farmers met to talk while working at husking corn or shelling beans.
The house has now been restructured and there are two apartments each with an independent entrance and outdoor place.
The old hayloft has been transformed into a small apartment with a veranda where you can have meals or rest. On the ground floor there is a wood oven, a common room with video, books, computer and a laundry.

All is immerged in green space, with meadows, coltivated fields, fruit trees, the vegetable garden, everything at our guest's disposal.

Within our property flows the river Serchio and one can reach it by foot for fishing or rest in the shadow of old poplar trees.

One can walk to the old nearby village of Sanbuca, or to the lake of Pontecosi to relax and watch the birds which live on the lake.
